A Note to the Bride & Groom,
Photographing weddings is a passion and a privilege. What I enjoy most is seeing little moments of emotion unfold right in front of me and being able to capture and save that image forever. I am inspired and thankful for the trust that my brides and grooms have in me. They are willing to allow me to be present and to document some of the most intimate and important moments of their lives. Their understanding of my tasteful and unobtrusive approach allows me to let things happen naturally. Every wedding is unique. Every couple will have different needs. I feel it is important to understand what each individual couple’s needs are. It is my goal to photograph what is special and unique about every wedding. I want to begin each wedding without a preconceived idea of what the outcome might be. While there will always be certain images that I feel are needed, such as family and friends, what I enjoy most are the little unplanned moments that come to me like a surprise gift. In the end these are the moments that count. These are the moments that we want to remember forever. Sincerely, Susan
A note to the new Mom and Dad,
Photographing a newborn baby is a very special experience. It is such a filling and unique job. I feel very blessed to have photographed many babies. I sometimes wonder… what will this child become? An artist, a doctor, or even a president. Photographing your babies first year of life is an amazing gift you give your child. As the years fly by these images become more important to you and your family. We at Susan Michal Portrait Studio take the responsibility of photographing your newborn very seriously. Our job is to photograph amazing and unique images of your child, but our real hope is that you will become our friend and together we will watch as your child grows. We want to be your family photographer for life! Sincerely, Susan
Dear Mom and Dad,
Photographing children is a passion for me. I am one of those lucky people that kids just naturally gravitate to. I have always felt this is because they can sense that I truly like them.
Photographing a child requires not only experience, talent and expertise but an ability to communicate with children in a way that gets them to react to you naturally. The most important thing to understand when working with children is… let them be children. Our studio and portrait garden is set up to give us the very best opportunity to create a beautiful one of a kind art piece of your child or children.Bribery is perfectly except-able at our studio! I think Kids can smell the treat jars when they walk in the door! Our studio is comfortably designed to accommodate all of our little subjects. At Susan Michal Portrait Studio we specialize in photographing multiple children. Twins, triplets, quads or quints… we have done it all! So don’t worry! If your little one decides to throw a fit, we will take a break, have a refreshment and a few minutes later they will be a different child. We want you to enjoy your experience with Susan Michal Portrait Studio. Our goal is to be your family photographer for life. We look forward to sharing all of the exciting possibilities of our children’s portraiture with you. Sincerely, Susan
To the Senior,
Through the years, I have been highly sought after for my unique style and fashion look. My style is definitely not traditional and boring. People come to me for that reason alone. You can expect your images to have creative cropping, unique angles and many times be unposed. I have always been an artist and with a camera in my hand, I am able to combine art with photography. I will take a few traditional poses during our session for yearbooks & parents, but expect me to think outside the box. I am an artist, I am different and proud of it. Sincerely, Susan
